North Somerset Council has won a long-standing battle to stop land being used for Bristol International Airport.Airport passengers were using The Old Forge in Lulsgate, Felton as a car park and the council argued it was spoiling the countryside.Gregory Lee Wedlake was told by Government inspector Keith Turner, that the site he operates does not have planning permission to be used as a reception centre for car parking and therefore the council's appeal to stop it being used in future would go ahead.Mr Wedlake unsuccessfully argued that because there had been no material damage within the last 10 years, the council's argument would not apply.The inspector's decision means the use of parking for airport passengers and other paying customers must end by March 21.
