Alcohol to be served from landmark

ALCOHOL will soon be served from Knightstone Island.

ALCOHOL will soon be served from Knightstone Island.

Gareth Dudd's proposals for the pavilion on the Weston landmark went before a North Somerset licensing committee on Tuesday.

Mr Dudd wanted to serve alcohol there until midnight Monday to Saturday and until 10pm on Sundays.

A total of 46 people objected to the proposals put forward to North Somerset Council.

The application was granted, but alcohol will be served until 11pm Monday to Saturday and until 10pm on Sundays.

Mr Dudd also has permission to play recorded music at the same times.
