BARRELS of ale have been rolled into Wedmore's village hall ahead of the real ale festival this weekend.

The three-day event will start tomorrow (Fri) and this year it has a Blues Brothers theme.

Doors open tomorrow at the hall in Cheddar Road at 7pm, and there will be performances by Crosswired and DJ Enhance.

It will then be open for bacon baps on both Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am onwards, with a Blues Brothers-themed fancy dress evening being held on Saturday night.

Kick the Cat will provide the music that night, while Sunday will end with the festival auction.

If you have an item, service or promise you would like to donate through the auction, contact Chris Perry on 07793 597315.

A limited number of VIP tickets for the pre-festival tasting session from 6-7pm tomorrow (Fri) are still available, with the proceeds going to charity.

They are priced £10 and are available from Simon Moss on 01934 712990.
