A night of 1960s musical entertainment has raised more than £2,000 for Weston Hospicecare.

An All Sixties Night was held at Weston-super-Mare Football Club in Winterstoke Road in support of the charity.

Tribute band The Berries and singer Chrystal Bliss performed to an audience dressed in their best outfits from the era.

A number of businesses supported the event including Rachel J Homes, Davan Caravans, Mendip Conservatories and Trevor Smith Flooring.

This is the fourth year the event has been held, with organiser David Kingsbury raising a total of more than £6,500 for the hospice.

He said: “I could not have done the event without the support of these sponsors and all those local and national companies who provided excellent raffle prizes.

“More than 170 people attended the event and everybody thoroughly enjoyed the evening.”
