ACOUSTIC guitarists who have toured with comedian Jethro and played for royalty will be entertaining crowds at the charity bash of the summer.The Ovation Brothers, who have previously played for Prince Charles, have re-formed after a five-year break to perform at the Weston Super Pier Party on June 21.The event on the Grand Pier is in aid of the Weston Super Kids Appeal which aims, among other things, to raise funds to improve children's facilities at Weston General Hospital.The band, made up of Arthur Shaw and Andy Doran, from Bridgwater, is one of several groups providing entertainment during the evening. The line-up also includes The Orphans, Devious Phat and Ladycake.Andy said: "Lots of people know us from our days with Jethro, performing at theatres all over the UK, including The Playhouse. We hope they will come out in force to hear us play again."Grand Pier co-owner Rod Brenner has offered the venue for the party and loads of rides will be free.Partygoers will be able to test their nerves on the Castle of Doom and the Freefall, try their luck at 10-pin bowling, get in a spin on the big wheel and vent some road rage on the dodgems.The tickets for the event are £20 and include fish and chips or a pig roast, ice cream and entry to the rides.
