Angels took over a Somerset church this weekend as people got into the festive spirit.
An angel festival was held at St John’s Church, in Highbridge, and people filled the hall to pick up a festive bargain and enjoy some delicious food.
The churchyard was filled with scarecrow angels which children could be seen playing with, which were built by a number of different groups and individuals from the town.
A Christmas fair took place inside the church, in Church Street, which featured various bric-a-brac stalls, games and some traditional festive food including mulled wine and roasted chestnuts on an open fire.
But the highlight of the day was more than 650 angels which were created by knitters from in and around Highbridge which acted as a fun treasure hunt for visitors.
