Anglers give cash to life-savers

GENROUS anglers in Clevedon have raised hundreds of pounds for life-savers in Burnham. A raffle at Oliver s Angling Shop in Alexandra Road made £457 for the grateful crewmembers of Burnham Area Rescue Boat (BARB).

GENROUS anglers in Clevedon have raised hundreds of pounds for life-savers in Burnham.

A raffle at Oliver's Angling Shop in Alexandra Road made £457 for the grateful crewmembers of Burnham Area Rescue Boat (BARB).

Owner Maria Hobden handed over the cheque on Sunday morning to BARB deputy operations manager Dave Bailey.

He said: "This is another excellent contribution from Maria, who has collected thousands of pounds for BARB over the years. We are incredibly grateful for all her hard work.
