AN ANTIQUE lover's passion for the past has led him to publish his second book.

Worle resident Bill Jackman has decided to put some of his 40-year-long interest in antiques into writing, with his book Investing in Silver Toys and Miniatures, the first tome about rare and valuable silver toys used in Victorian, and earlier, doll houses.

Henley Drive resident Bill, aged 75, said: “I’ve always been interested in writing, and I’ve had a long-standing interest in antiques.

“These toys are very interesting as the dollhouses weren’t intended for use by children, it was the women who did to prepare them for knowing how to prepare a good home.”

Bill’s book is available now, priced £14.99 in hardback or £11.99 in paperback.
