A Weston-super-Mare antiques shop will feature in a popular BBC TV series later this year.

Violet Antiques, in Orchard Street, was visited by Antiques Road Trip host Paul Laidlaw last week.

Business owner Angie Lloyd said it was ‘lovely’ to meet the celebrity and show him around her store.

She added: “I was so nervous beforehand. I always watch the show and really enjoy it.

“Paul had a look around the shop on his own before we looked at some of the items.”

The show will air later this year.
