A MAN has been arrested after a woman was sexually assaulted.

The woman was walking along Frank Foley Parkway in Burnham at about 2.30pm on June 28 when the incident happened.

Following an appeal for information, a 21-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail.

Officers believe the incident may be connected to an assault that happened later that day.

The second attack happened at about 5.50pm in Chedzoy Lane, Bridgwater when a woman was sexually assaulted.

Officers investigating the incidents are keen for anyone with information to contact them.
