Police are appealing for help to trace a man seen walking in Uphill and Lympsham on Sunday without any shoes.

The man, thought to be in his 60s, was seen walking past Weston Hospital on Grange Road at around 5.20pm.

He was later seen walking towards Lympsham via the cycle path near to Uphill Mount and St Nicholas Church.

The man did not have any footwear and was inappropriately dressed for the wet and windy weather.

Officers are treating him as a missing person and are keen for him, or anyone who knows who he is, to get in touch.

He is described as white, around 6ft tall, of medium build with white hair. He was wearing a grey coat, khaiki-coloured shorts and was barefoot.

Anyone who recognises the man in the picture, or knows where he is, is asked to call 101 and quote reference number 5216065571.
