Worshippers from Milton Methodist Church are working on a moving display which will cascade over the front of the church in November.

The church, in Milton Hill, is inviting people to knit a poppy and take it into the church so it can be added to the cascade.

Malcolm Gale, from the church, said: “Folk at Milton Methodist Church have been busy knitting poppies for a special display of poppies to cascade over the front of the church and we are inviting everyone to join us in commemorating the end of World War One by knitting even more poppies.

“We hope everyone will join us in celebrating this special anniversary of peace.”
