Appeal launched after Weston-super-Mare assault leaves man with broken jaw

Police have launched and appeal after a man was left with multiple broken bones following an assault in Weston-super-Mare.

The 54-year-old victim suffered fractures to his eye socket, jaw and cheekbone after being attacked by another man in Orchard Street on March 10.

The incident, which occurred near the turning with Burlington Close, happened at around 10.15pm.

The offender is believed to wear glasses and have fair-coloured hair.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary statement said: “This assault was reported to us about a week after the incident.

“Did you see it happen or do you know who the offender may be? If you can help, please call DC Sheila Davies on 101 and please give the reference number 5217058169.”
