Apple harvest celebrated with demonstrations and games

With the apple harvest well and truly underway, one village group organised a family fun day with a host of fruity treats.
The Wedmore In Bloom group joined in with a national apple day, to mark the harvest.
The celebration took place in the scout hut in Combe Lane, where there were stalls and games, plus cider-making demonstrations.
The varieties of apples grown in the village were on display, as well as some apple-themed flower displays.
And when people got thirsty, they were treated to apple-pressing demonstrations where they could have a go themselves and enjoy some apple juice.
