Arrest made after eight reports of theft

A 26-YEAR-OLD has been arrested in connection with a number of thefts and garage burglaries.

Officers have been investigating eight reports of theft from cars, three garage burglaries and the theft of two bicycles in the West Wick area within the past two weeks.

Neighbourhood PC Justine O’Reilly said: “We’re grateful for the information and support we’ve had from the local community during our enquiries so far.

“I’d ask people to make sure they always lock their vehicles and garages and don’t leave any valuables in their cars.

“If you see anyone behaving suspiciously around cars, vans or other property call us straight away on 999.”

A man who was arrested yesterday (Thursday) remains in police custody.

Police enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information which could help is asked to contact the police by visiting or by calling 101, quoting reference 36894/15.
