3.9.2007: ANGRY residents in Tickenham say they lives are being put at risk by vandals who continue to torch and damage the village's speed camera.
In the latest incident in the early hours of Monday, hooligans drove a Ford Fiesta under the camera at Clevedon Road and set light to it.
A fierce blaze soon took hold of the car, which is thought to have been doused with an accelerant, spreading to the speed camera and the electricity pole next to it.
At one point flames licked up to 40 ft in the air and spread to bushes and gardens of nearby properties.
