AN ARTS festival has been launched in a Somerset village.
The weekend of events in May will involve 16 artists and craftsmen in nine open studios around Cheddar.
Exhibits will include paintings, ceramics and handmade jewellery.
The event starts at Chestnut Farm Studio in Kent Street on May 1, where there will be live music and a taster of the work which will be on display at the other venues.
From May 2-4, a selection of studios will be open daily from 10am-4pm, with a walking trail starting at the car park in Cliff Street.
A spokesman said: “This exciting new event celebrates the talent and diversity of the large arts community based around Cheddar.
“There is the opportunity to talk to the 16 artists taking part, see them at work and to purchase a range of gorgeous objects from paintings and ceramics to handmade jewellery and fused glass and willow sculptures.
“There is the chance to try your hand at creative writing and spinning and there are weaving and pottery demonstrations and a music jamming session at the Sketch Café where you can join in with voice and instruments.”
