A CHEDDAR artist will be holding his first solo exhibition in three years.
Martyn Wrench, of Cliff Street, will be exhibiting more than 40 of his oil paintings and charcoal drawings at Axbridge Town Hall over the weekend of June 3-4.
The 58-year-old artist specialises in landscape paintings of the Mendips and Somerset Levels.
Martyn, a dad-of-two, said: “I was born in Shipham and have been brought up around the Cheddar and Axbridge area - the subject matter around here is inexhaustible.”
The exhibition will be open from 9am-5pm both days, entry is free, and most of Martyn’s work will be for sale.
A private viewing will take place on the evening of June 2. For an invitation to the viewing, ring Martyn on 01934 743155.
