A BANWELL woman is raising money for charity by running an online auction of promises.

It will include many gifts and treats around the town, including a family pass to Court Farm, falconry experience at Puxton Park and afternoon tea at Tiffany’s Tea Rooms.

Claire Sunshine, aged 36, of Wolvershill, was diagnosed with colitis in 2005 but it was easily controlled so did not impact heavily on her life.

After the birth of her daughter in March 2012 she became quite ill and was told she had Crohn’s disease.

It causes an inflammation of the lining of the digestive system and there is no cure, only medication to help ease the symptoms.

Claire hopes to raise £10,000 for Crohn’s and Colitis UK to help others in her situation and is already halfway to her goal.

The auction will run until June 1 and can be viewed at
