SEVEN authors who are experienced in every genre, from sci-fi to children's fiction, books about village life or family history, are hosting an event in Weston.

The authors are all members of Wordsmiths of Weston (WOW), a creative writing group, and will be signing their work at an event at the United Reform Church Hall in the Boulevard on Saturday.

The group’s chairman Brian Humphreys said the group has taken inspiration from Jean Saunders, a Weston author who died in 2011.

He said: “We really must thank the family of the late Jean Saunders, one of Weston’s most prolific writers.

“Following her death a box of Jean’s writing self-help and reference books were donated to WOW and they have helped us to grow as writers, turning amateur scribblers into published authors.”

Excerpts from books will be read during the event, which will run from 10am until 1pm. Refreshments will also be available. For more information call 01934 523864 or email brian-humphreys@btconnect.com
