The attack took place between 9.30-10am on January 30 in Milton Road near Ewart Road.

A man was out walking two brown pitbull-type dogs when one of the pair started to attack the blind man’s brown Labrador.

The dog required treatment at a vet.

A police spokesman said: “The man walking the two pitbull-type dogs is described as a white man, late teens, thin build and approximately 5ft 4in tall with dark hair.

“We would like to speak to any witnesses to the incident or anyone who recognises the man in the image or his description.”
