Police have arrested a woman and are appealing for witnesses after a man was taken to hospital in Weston-super-Mare last night (Thursday).

Two men were involved in an ‘altercation’ outside Domino’s Pizza in the Boulevard at around 8.30pm, leaving a 31-year-old with non-life-threatening injuries.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary arrested a 27-year-old woman in connection with the incident, but she has been released under investigation.

The injured man has since left hospital.

DC Steve Milkins said: “We know there were a number of people walking along the Boulevard at the time and we’d appeal to anyone who saw any part of this incident to come forward.

“We’d also like to hear from anyone who may have filmed this altercation on their mobile phones.”

A police spokesman added: “If you can help, please call investigations on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5217294929.”
