Community groups and voluntary organisations across Somerset are being invited to bid for funding.

Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Sue Mountstevens is handing out grants of up to £3,000 for groups which provide a positive and lasting impact on the community.

More than £25,000 was awarded to 13 different projects in the last round of funding.

PCC Mountstevens said; “Since launching the Community Action Fund in 2013 we have awarded more than £500,000 which has helped deliver various crime reduction and community safety initiatives.”

To qualify, projects should demonstrate how they enable communities to come together and tackle issues in the area.
