A Burnham-on-Sea café has scooped a prestigous award, meaning it can officially call itself Somerset's best café, despite having only been open for 10 months.

Calm Gourmet Coffee Bar, in High Street, attended the Muddy Stilettos awards – which are voted for by the public – and went home with the best café accolade.

Owner Tiffany Lin told the Mercury: “I was very happy to even be nominated, so to win has been quite overwhelming.

“I have always had a passion for organic food, which is what we specialise in.

“I have been in Burnham for 10 years now, so I really wanted to set it up here and to have the support means a lot.”
