Award-winning gardens host craft fair

PUBLISHED: 17:30 01 August 2012

GREEN flag award-winning Marine Cove Gardens will host a craft fair next weekend.

The fair will be held on August 11 from 11am to 3pm in the gardens on Burnham’s esplanade.

The Friends of Marine Cove will have a host of Lily the Frogs – the garden’s mascot - available to knit yourself in DIY bags or pre-knitted frogs to purchase on the day.

The event will also include stalls filled with handmade jewellery, wooden craft, candles, semi-precious stones and crystals, glassware, sculptures, cushions and toys, baby-ware, purses, hats, scarves and more.

There are currently 14 confirmed stands with Burnham camera club, which will present a display. Friends of Marine Cove will also be on-hand to answer all garden queries and sign up more volunteers to help with the project.

If the weather is unsuitable the event will go ahead in St Andrews Church hall, in Victoria Street.
