THREE members of Wessex Ambulance Service's Weston-based unit have received certificates following intense exams.

Richard Legg, Louise Thomson and Naomi Trueman were all successful in their recent ‘first person on the scene’ test held in October.

The service covers events across the area, similar to St John Ambulance, and provides medical assistance.

Volunteers are desperately needed to join the unit, which meets at Weston Cricket Club every Monday from 7.30pm.

People are given full training and equipment, and all exams are paid for by the organisation.

Anyone who would like to join the group can attend one of the sessions, or ring Barrie Sleeman on 07785 996831 or Godfrey Horler on 01934 521430.
