A Somerset town played host to a 'fantastic' music show to raise awareness of a rare genetic condition.
Music therapist Stella Moore hosted the Big Busk in Axbridge’s square to raise money for one of her pupils.
Sixteen-year-old Emilie Dinsdale suffers from BPAN – beta-propeller protein associated neuro-degeneration.
Stella said: “I wanted to provide Emilie with a musical event when she visited Axbridge on Saturday.
“We advertised for ‘buskers’ and were delighted with the positive response, it was a real mixture of ages, instruments and genres of music. All those taking part seemed very happy to be involved and the atmosphere was very friendly, with fantastic musicianship on show.”
The event raised more than £400 to help Emilie’s family set up the NBIA UK charity supporting BPAN research.
