THE Axbridge Friends of Houlgate Society could fold due to a lack of interest.

THE Axbridge Friends of Houlgate Society could fold due to a lack of interest.

Members are holding an emergency meeting to decide the fate of the club on November 19.

The group has already had to cancel its annual trip to France this month due to a lack of numbers.

Chairman Jennifer Trotman said the group will be exploring three options during the evening.

If more volunteers agree to help out, the group could keep running with a new committee, trips could organised less regularly or the club could shut completely.

She said: "It will be a great shame if it folds because everyone has been putting an awful lot of hard work into it for a long time."

The society is asking as many members to turn up to the meeting as possible. The event is being held in the Council Chambers at the Town Hall at 7.30pm.
