REHEARSALS are underway for Backwell School's production of the popular musical Fame.
Performing arts students from year 12 are putting on the show about a group of youngsters trying to make it in the world of showbiz.
The musical follows the highs and lows of a group of students attending the prestigious Fame Academy for Performing Arts as they battle it out to get auditions and make a name for themselves.
Combining acting, singing and dancing, the energetic production is the school's most ambitious show to date.
Student, Lara Hollander, said: "We have been through all the scenes, and are now in the process of polishing the performance and making it run flawlessly. Everyone involved is very excited."
Fame is on from February 5-8 and tickets are on sale in the school reception from 1-1.30pm.
