A GLITTERING fund-raising ball at the Winter Gardens in Weston last Saturday helped raise £130,000 for worthy causes.The Axentis Michael Charitable Trust welcomed 500 people who took part in an auction for prizes including a Harley Davidson motorbike, which fetched nearly £9,000, and a Wurlitzer jukebox which went for £8,000.The ball was held in memory of one of Weston's best known hoteliers, Axentis Michael.Graham Cole, who plays PC Terry Stamp in ITV's The Bill, helped compere the successful evening.* Pictured above (left to right): Michelle Michael, Kerry Michael, The Bill's Graham Cole, Laura Cole and Linda Michael.
