Fans of Weston-super-Mare’s Birnbeck Pier enjoyed a serene trip on the MV Balmoral in aid of the Birnbeck Regeneration Trust.

The trip saw more than 200 passengers transported from Weston to Clevedon Pier on board historic steam buses, thanks to Crosville Motor Services.

People then enjoyed live music from the Barry Walsh Band and lunch on board the historic ship, as it made its way up the Avon Gorge throughout the afternoon on August 28.

Trust spokesman Richie Griffin said: “The day was a great success and the trust has already been asked when the next trip will be organised.”
