PEOPLE are being asked to wear a mask to Dismaland in Weston-super-Mare on Friday so Banksy can attend without being caught on camera.

A dress code for Friday’s music event at The Tropicana has been posted on the bemusement park’s website and suggests mere mortals could be brushing shoulders with the elusive street artist.

The exhibition at the Tropicana has showcased the work of more than 50 artists and will end on Sunday after a successful five-week run.

But before it closes Pussy Riot, Kate Tempest, Leftfield, De La Soul and DJ Premier will be performing on Friday night, under the glow of ‘crap fireworks’, according to the Dismaland website.

Musical giants Massive Attack were due to headline the event, but pulled out due to ‘technical issues’.

Despite the last-minute line-up change tickets the event sold out in record time and people who were lucky enough to get one could be about to meet Banksy.

The Dismaland website says: “Due to the amount of paparazzi staking out the park in recent weeks Banksy has requested people come masked-up so he can attend the event without being photographed.”
