The outside space at Banwell Children’s Centre is set to be improved.

The centre, in West Street, hopes to add a basketball hoop, stepping stones, a set of tyres for children to play in and around, a windchime area and a raised flowerbed to its outside space.

The children’s centre has drawn up a very basic set of plans and asked Banwell Parish Council for its backing for the project at its meeting on Monday.

The council agreed to support the project and bosses from the children’s centre are now set to go away and put together some comprehensive designs for the work. Banwell Youth Club will also be involved in the design process.
