A young girl has raised £60 for charity as well as cut off 12 inches of her hair.
Eva Steed, aged nine, donated her long locks to The Little Princess Trust and raised money for the NSPCC.
The youngster, who is from Banwell, went under the scissors at Broad Street Hair, in Weston’s Waterloo Street, for the two causes she chose herself.
Grandmother Pamela Steed helped Eva, who attends Winscombe Primary School, set up a JustGiving page for her ‘generous gesture’.
She added: “We always talked about it, but when our niece, and Eva’s dad’s cousin, Lucy died of cancer last year, Eva wanted to make a difference and help other cancer sufferers.
“The NSPCC was her charity of choice so her big haircut has helped children with cancer and children in jeopardy. We are so proud of her.”
