TWO workers from a Burnham bar will be taking a 15,000ft plunge this summer to raise money for the town’s Coastguard Association (CGA) branch.
Kate Panayi, manager of the Skye Bar, and Simon Murdie, DJ at the High Street-based club, will be making a parachute jump on August 5 in Devon to raise funds for the charity.
Kate said: “The coastguards do a great job and they are all volunteers. I’m excited about the jump and hope to raise lots of money to assist coastguards when they need our help.”
Anyone wanting to sponsor Kate and Simon can do so by going into Skye Bar or The Gallery Café, or calling Ian Jefferies, the CGA’s Burnham branch secretary, on 07724995631.
