People from an Uphill church had a ‘great’ time at a community night last weekend.

St Nicholas Church, in Uphill Road South, held a barn dance and ploughman’s dinner on Saturday.

Lynn Pack, from the church, said: “The barn dance, despite low numbers, was a great success.

“Everyone who was there enjoyed themselves and the ploughman’s also went down well. It was a great social event.”

A violin and accordion duo filled the church hall with music and people were encouraged to practice their line dance.
