The ever-popular Weston-super-Mare Bike Nights raised more than £13,000 for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal this year.

The event runs every Thursday from May to September, and finished for 2016 last week, when a £13,555 cheque was handed over.

More than 10,000 people on motorbikes, scooters, trikes and quads attended the Beach Lawns this year, all donating money to the Poppy Appeal.

The event was set up by Adam Brown and is now organised by Lyn Lovell.

The event is in its ninth year, and raised £3,000 more than in 2015.
