WORD whizz sixth former Beccy Cripps is looking forward to her television debut as a contestant on Countdown.The 19-year-old student from Cheddar auditioned for the show in May and filmed the show for Channel 4 last month. Beccy, a student at Kings of Wessex School said she particularly enjoyed meeting the presenters. She said: "I got to speak to Carol Vorderman and she was very approachable. She is amazing at the number rounds."Comedian Jo Brand was the special guest for Dictionary Corner. Beccy said, "She was very funny. She even tried making up her own words."The teenager added: "I've always loved the show and watch it every day. Before we started filming I had a chat with Des Lynam."The show will be aired on November 1 at 3.30pm on Channel 4.
