A cricket club will host its annual beer and cider festival this weekend.

Weston-super-Mare Cricket Club is inviting everyone to enjoy two days of music, food and good beer.

There will be more than 30 different real ales and ciders on sale for people to try.

Musical performers Zeals and Priest Unleashed will take to the stage to entertain the crowds with some of their songs.

The festival will take place at the club’s ground, in Devonshire Road, from noon on Saturday and Sunday.

Organiser Mike Lee said: “We hold the festival to support the cricket club to help the youth cricket in the town.

“The club is also used by a lot of community groups so this event helps us support them.

“For the past two years we have also raised money for Weston Hospicecare and, while we have not chosen our charity yet this year, we hope to support another great local charity.”
