Bellydancers performed at a care event in Weston-super-Mare's shopping centre to raise money for a campaign.

The performance took place in the Sovereign Shopping Centre, as part of the Dancing For Dignity event.

The Dignity In Care campaign aims to bring together healthcare staff and members of the public to stimulate debate and create a system with zero tolerance of abuse.

It is led by the Government in partnership with organisations which commission care.

The Weston event was organised by Home Instead Senior Care, and featured the Saeeda Bellydance group, which is based in both Weston and Nailsea.

Members of the public also joined in with the dance, which raised £70 for the Dignity In Care campaign.

A spokesman for Home Instead said: “Thank you to all who came down to support us.

“We will be doing more dance events in the future.”
