A man has been arrested after a person was ‘robbed’ outside Berrow Post Office yesterday (Monday) morning.

Avon and Somerset police were called to the Post Office, in Berrow Road, at around 11.45am after reports of a robbery taking place outside the shop.

A spokesman for the police said: “We were called to reports of a robbery from a person outside the post office in Berrow Road at about 11.45am on Monday.

“The victim, who was a man, was robbed of a quantity of cash.

“A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of theft and theft of a motor vehicle.

“An investigation is underway.”
