Best turn-out to date at annual village show

Draycott’s 34th annual village show saw more entries than ever before.

There were numerous entries for flowers, fruit and vegetables, photography, homecraft and handicraft.
People were allowed to enter each class twice and an overall category as many times as they liked, leading to the biggest turnout to date.
The event was previously organised by the school PTA, but has now developed its own committee.
Dick Gossling, committee chairman, said: “We appreciate the support of local villages in making the show so successful once again.”
