THIEVES used two dustbins to carry out cigarettes they had stolen from a shop in Axbridge.The culprits broke into the Local Plus Co-op Store in The Square at about 4.45am on September 20. The thieves tried to kick open a window before breaking in through the door. Earlier it is believed the same thieves broke into into Budgens, off Church Street in Cheddar. The offenders smashed a glass panel to enter the property to raid the shelves where the cigarettes are kept, but staff had left them empty overnight. Sergeant Mike Tripp, of Cheddar police, said: "We believe it was the same people in both cases and have two suspects but the investigation is continuing."Anyone with information is urged to call police on 0845 456 7000.
