ALL the ingredients for a perfect party, including cake, cards and balloons, were in abundance at a village Women’s Institute’s (WI) birthday bash.

Ladies from the Locking Green WI celebrated five decades of jam and Jerusalem at the branch’s 50th birthday party last week.

The women gathered in Locking Village Hall to listen to music from the Rainbow Singers while enjoying a cup of tea and biscuits.

The group then got down to business as they held their annual meeting, before getting back in the party mood with birthday cake and a glass of bubbly.

Branch president Carol Parker-Kempson said: “We all had a wonderful time, it was a very enjoyable evening.”
