A town's carnival which was saved from cancellation will take place this weekend.
Axbridge’s Blackberry Carnival has been a landmark occasion in the town’s calendar since the 1960s.
The event – which is held in September to coincide with the berry-picking season – will see businesses, community groups and individuals create floats and parade through Axbridge in front of hundreds of people.
The carnival was saved from cancellation earlier this year when key committee members announced their plans to stand down.
However, a new group of volunteers came forward and managed to raise the money to ensure the family event could go ahead.
Visiting mayors from across Somerset will also tour the town during the event.
The first float will be launched at 2.30pm on Saturday, and a variety of rides and carnival games will run in The Square throughout the day.
