Volunteers got together for the thank you celebration

VOLUNTEERS enjoyed a fun evening as a thank you for the work they have put into floral decorations around town.

Weston In Bloom chairman Richard Knowles invited them to the event at Worle Century Club in Mendip Avenue.

The volunteers have helped plant the floral decorations around town, as well as prepare for South West In Bloom.

Due to North Somerset Council cutbacks all floral decorations around Worle are taken care of by volunteers, who also helped with upkeep around Grove House in Weston and other areas in town.

Mr Knowles thanked the town council for its support with the group and deputy mayor, Cllr Keith Morris, thanked the volunteers on behalf of the town council.
