A MAN who was washed up naked on Brean beach may have collapsed and fallen into a river in Wales. Kenneth Meale, aged 60, was found on December 9 wearing nothing but a pair of shoes, an inquest heard. Kenneth, who suffered from mood swings and heart problems, was a resident at a care home in Downtown Road, Rumney, Cardiff. He was last seen on November 25, 2006, by the home's care manager, Julie McCaffrey. It is thought Kenneth went for a walk to a nearby man-made lake which is at the end of a river that flows out into the Bristol Channel, and he fell in.A visitor to Brean, David Roberts, was out walking on the beach with his wife when they discovered Kenneth's body. Coroner Michael Rose said: "I have little doubt something overtook Mr Meale. He had health problems and perhaps he could have collapsed and fallen in. His heart condition was not good." A verdict of death by heart disease was recorded.
