TWO mothers from St Georges are celebrating the birth of their first bundle of joy after going into labour on Christmas Day.Alex Acton thought she'd eaten too much dinner when she started having contractions on Christmas Day evening. Alex and her husband Jaime, who live in The Badgers, are celebrating after she gave birth to their first child, Elisha Robert Acton, at 10.50am on Boxing Day. The couple married in April and Alex found out she was expecting Elisha, who weighed 6lbs 1oz, when they returned from their honeymoon.Karen Kinch started getting contractions on Christmas Eve and went into full labour on Christmas Day. She gave birth to her first child, 9lbs 1oz Sienna Louise at 8.37am on Boxing Day, nearly two weeks later than expected. Karen, who lives in Hambledon Road, said she is pleased Sienna didn't arrive on Christmas Day because in the future her daughter will be able to enjoy two sets of presents instead of just one.
