A FOUR-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to hospital with head and stomach injuries yesterday (Sunday) after being kicked by a horse which was loose in a children’s park.

Two horses and a foal were loose in Maltlands’ Park in Weston-super-Mare yesterday and a young child was injured by one of the animals.

A spokesman from the South West Ambulance Service said: “At 12.16pm we were called to a boy, aged four, with head and stomach injuries.

“He was taken to Bristol Children’s Hospital.”
