CLASS A drugs have been seized during a police raid on a house in Weston.

Officers from the town's south ward team took the haul from a home in Westbury Crescent.

When they entered the property they found the occupant trying to dispose of a packet in an upstairs toilet. It had class A drugs in it, which have now been sent away for forensic analysis.

A 41-year-old man was arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.

Sergeant Shane Hawkings said: "As a neighbourhood policing team we are determined to carry on targeting suspected drug dealing in the south ward.

"We have had numerous successes in the past couple of months and we are committed to disrupting this type of activity.

"In order to do this, we need the help of the community."
